Allied Accessibility is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. As a company that helps businesses achieve ADA compliance, we hold ourselves to the same high standards we set for our clients.
Our Commitment
We believe the web should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or disability. Our own website is designed and developed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the AA level, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines are the internationally recognized benchmark for web accessibility and form the basis for most accessibility legislation worldwide.
Standards We Follow
This website is built to comply with:
- WCAG 2.2 Level AA — the current W3C recommendation for web accessibility
- ADA Title III — the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for places of public accommodation
- Section 508 — federal accessibility standards for electronic and information technology
- EN 301 549 — the European standard for digital accessibility
Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following accessibility features across this website:
Navigation & Structure
- Skip navigation link — allows keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation and jump directly to main content
- Semantic HTML — proper use of headings, landmarks, lists, and ARIA attributes to convey page structure to assistive technologies
- Consistent navigation — the same navigation structure appears on every page for predictability
- Descriptive page titles — every page has a unique, descriptive title
Keyboard Accessibility
- Full keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields, menus, modals) are operable via keyboard alone
- Visible focus indicators — clear, high-contrast focus outlines appear on all interactive elements when navigating with a keyboard
- Focus trapping in modals — when a modal dialog is open, keyboard focus is contained within it and returns to the triggering element when closed
- Logical tab order — interactive elements follow a natural, predictable reading order
Visual Design
- Color contrast — text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Responsive design — the site adapts to all screen sizes and supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- No reliance on color alone — information is not conveyed solely through color; icons, text labels, and patterns are used as supplementary indicators
Motion & Animation
- Reduced motion support — users who have enabled "prefers-reduced-motion" in their operating system will see all animations, transitions, and auto-playing motion disabled
- No flashing content — the site contains no content that flashes more than three times per second
- Pausable animations — the logo marquee on the pricing page can be paused by hovering
Forms & Interactive Elements
- Labeled form fields — all form inputs have visible labels programmatically associated with their controls
- Error identification — form validation errors are clearly identified with text descriptions and linked to the relevant field using
aria-describedbyandaria-invalid - Live error announcements — validation messages use
role="alert"so screen readers announce them immediately - Required field indicators — required fields are marked both visually (with an asterisk) and programmatically (with
aria-required)
Content & Media
- Descriptive link text — links describe their destination or purpose rather than using generic "click here" text
- Alternative text — meaningful images have descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes so screen readers skip them
- ARIA landmarks and roles — FAQ accordions, navigation menus, and other interactive patterns use appropriate ARIA roles and states
Assistive Technology Compatibility
This website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
- Screen magnification software
- Speech recognition software (Dragon NaturallySpeaking)
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Switch devices and alternative input methods
We test primarily with the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, in combination with NVDA and VoiceOver.
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is not a one-time task — it's an ongoing commitment. We continuously work to improve the accessibility of our website by:
- Conducting regular automated and manual accessibility audits
- Testing with real assistive technologies, not just automated tools
- Training our team on accessibility best practices
- Reviewing new content and features for accessibility before publishing
- Staying current with evolving WCAG standards and legal requirements
Known Limitations
While we strive for full compliance, we acknowledge the following areas where we are actively working on improvements:
- Third-party content: Some embedded third-party widgets (such as the Calendly scheduling tool) may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control. We provide alternative ways to access these services (contact us for details).
- PDF documents: Some downloadable PDF reports may not yet be fully accessible. We are working to ensure all documents meet accessibility standards. If you need an accessible version of any document, please contact us.
