AudioEye Alternative — One-Time Source-Code Remediation | Allied Accessibility

The AudioEye Alternative That Doesn't Bill You Monthly

AudioEye is a subscription overlay-plus-services product. Allied Accessibility is a one-time source-code remediation. Same goal, different economics — and different legal posture. Here's the short version.

Allied Accessibility vs. AudioEye

The handful of criteria that actually decide the call.

Allied Accessibility versus AudioEye at a glance
Criterion Allied Accessibility AudioEye
Pricing One-time project fee, from $2,500 Subscription; tiered by monthly page views[1]
What gets modified Your HTML, CSS & JavaScript, directly Runtime DOM, via a JavaScript widget loaded on your site[1]
Works without a vendor script Yes — fixes live in your codebase No — remove the tag, lose the fixes
Ongoing cost None after project Recurring, scales with traffic
Best fit Owner-operated sites, ~15–50 pages Very large sites with constantly-changing content

Three Reasons Teams Move From AudioEye to Source Code

You stop renting compliance

A subscription that scales with traffic turns a solved problem into a permanent line item. A one-time remediation is amortized after year one — and stays amortized.

The fix ships with your code

Real HTML, real CSS, real ARIA in your repo. If you change vendors, redesign, or sunset a third-party tool, the accessibility work survives. No dependency on anyone's script continuing to load.

Better defensibility posture

Plaintiffs' firms screen for overlay scripts. Per the UsableNet 2025 ADA lawsuit report, roughly 22.6% of federal ADA web suits in 2025 hit sites that were already running an accessibility widget.

How a switch from AudioEye typically looks

  1. Free report. We audit your site against WCAG 2.2 AA and grade it A–F, so you can see where you actually stand — with or without the widget running.
  2. Fixed-fee remediation. We edit your HTML, CSS, JS, and templates directly, working in your repo or a staging branch we hand back.
  3. Remove the script, cancel the subscription. Once the source fixes are deployed and validated, the AudioEye tag comes off. You keep the fixes; you stop the recurring bill.

Engagements typically run a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on site size and platform.

Where AudioEye may still be the right call: very large sites with high content velocity — a news publisher adding dozens of articles a day, or a catalog that changes hourly — where continuous automated monitoring has real value. For a typical owner-operated site, one-time source remediation is cheaper and more permanent.
